A Brief History of Net Events Inc.
Net Events Inc. was created in 1998 to fill a specialty niche for Event/Tradeshow technical services.
Their primary client was Microsoft Canada and Net Events was contracted by them to procure, configure, setup and support all hardware,
software and networking needs for public and internal events across Canada. As a result of this massive undertaking, Net Events became
proficient and developed an expertise for event technical facilitation at short-term, large venues while successfully managing hundreds
of events in major cities across Canada.
Net Events branched into custom software development, which allowed them to broaden their scope of event services. They developed a
complete suite of event related tools including; on-site registration tools, contact management systems, event history databases, customer
satisfaction reporting tools and success scorecards. Net Events also started to offer event registration services, promotional websites,
email broadcasting, online credit card processing, post-event evaluation processing and reporting.
The development division of Net Events expanded into custom software solutions and integration. Net Events has developed many human resources
related software products commercially available, such as the Human Resources PolicyPro small business policy manager, The HR Advisor Online,
and HRtrack; all offered and updated currently by First Reference Inc.
Website experts were brought onboard as the skills were required by many event clients as part of an additional offering of advanced online
data services. Commercial website design and database integration with online applications was accepted quickly by the marketplace.
Today, Net Events is successfully respected in Event Technical Services including a broad range of offerings into cross-market
areas. Events are becoming more technically dependant for both marketing and success. The ability to provide technical facilitation hand-in-hand
with custom development and web design creates our niche and a secure, growing role with today’s companies.
